About Barbara

 My Reiki journey began on the magical island of Maui.  When I moved there, I had never heard of Reiki and had spent the previous 20 years working with computers, doing software and hardware support and working in a school office.  Maui worked its magic and showed me the ways of Mother Nature and how the Universe can take care of us.  Reiki is one of those ways.  Its natural healing energy restores body, mind, emotions, and spirit to balance.   Balance = wholeness.   When you are in balance, your body’s innate ability to heal itself is strengthened.

During my 4+ year stay on Maui, I was involved in sharing Reiki with residents, visitors and other Reiki practitioners, doing hands-on and distance treatments.  I’ve seen some wonderful results with reducing or eliminating symptoms of stress and anxiety, arthritic inflammation, pain after surgery, and lowering blood pressure.  I have worked with cancer patients to help relieve the effects of pain, nausea, and fatigue caused by radiation and chemotherapy treatments.  I’ve even seen bones heal faster than normal when receiving Reiki healing energy.

I am so grateful for Reiki.  It has helped me in many ways, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.  It is my desire to share the wonderful gift of Reiki to help others maintain health, joy, and well-being.
